Midnight Sun
Well, its quite common knowledge that Stephenie Meyer's next installment to the Twilight Saga, Midnight Sun, was illegally leaked online a few months back. I know it has been blogged about enough, but I'm going to do it anyway.
I've read it and it is already a masterpiece, even in its raw unedited form. I just wish she would have released more, which is the problem. By releasing only the first twelve chapters she has put all of her readers at a standstill and, although we already know how the story ends, has effectively screwed us. I might be overreacting, but whether or not I am doesn't really matter. She released the partial draft online to assuage her reader's guilt from reading it illegally, but by doing that she had to stop writing it because she felt uncomfortable writing it while others were reading it. She said she may not pick it up to finish for months or even years.
I don't blame her, though, I just wish she had gone about it a different way. Maybe she could have released it a chapter at a time, so then we wouldn't have to wait quite as long to buy it at Borders, but the again, what do I know? I'll post the link to download it from her site, and I do recommend it, just be prepared for a long, arduous wait.
